Christmas

Hi I have not posted any work because I have been busy doing Christmas stuff. Can you believe its almost Christmas Again! I have volunteered to coordinate a Photography booth at my church during our Christmas Lights Festival which starts this thursday evening. I will be there every night up until and including Christmas eve. I even have to wear a costume which I can confirm now that no person no matter how good looking would be able to carry off. The things we get ourselves into! Regardless of the huge commitment and the crazy costume I am really looking forward to it. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! This is my favourite time of year and not because of the gifts but because of what it means to me and my family and how it seems to change the world even if it's only for a day. Lisa's Pregnancy Shoot

On sunday afternoon I went to a little cove near Coolum Beach to do a pregnancy Shoot with Lisa and her family. We started on the rocks for the family portrait and then went down onto the sand to do Lisa's pregnancy photos. They were such an easy family to shoot and its always such an honour to photograph such a special time in a families life. Thanks Lisa & Jeremy for letting me share, I hope all goes well with bubs. Studio Shoot with Krisanne

I did a shoot with Krisanne in the studio this week. She was a little nervous but was so easy to photograph. When you have a subject this stunning its hard to do anything wrong! On the forth image below I tried a new technique in photoshop with some blending of colour tone blue and natural skin colour, I think it turned out quite good (something different anyway). Welcome to my new blog site! My name is Gillian (Gilly) and I am the photographer and owner of At First Sight Photography on the Sunshine Coast. I will try to be loyal and post on a regular basis - but hopefully I will be so busy creating and editing all your beautiful images that won't have time!
I would like to introduce you to my beautiful daughter Rena who is 2 and 1/2 years old and is now becoming my regular model. In slow times I will post images of her. So below are my recent images of her showing off her vivacious personality...
