Expectations Shoot with Kylie - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

My gorgeous friend and talented make-up artist Kylie came into my studio the other week for her preganancy shoot, she is having her second baby! Don't you think it is unfair that someone can look this good pregnant with their second baby? We went for a glam look which she really pulled off and she allowed me a bit of creative free reign to try a few new ideas. I love them all and if I had the time I would have posted every image from the shoot.
Thanks Kylie for coming in a letting me capture these!
See the link below if you need someone to do professional make-up for weddings or photoshoots.

I love the white, something I wanted to try and it turned out so much better than the vision in my head...so ethereal!

While Kylie was in the studio we did some new headshots for her website because as you can see she has a glamarous new hairdo, which I love ;)
So I just played around with a couple of these and came up with the images below
I like the bottom one as it is unsual but that is more for me than her as it is a bit weird, but I am weird!

Innocence Shoot with Max - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

Finally I get to introduce you to little Max....how gorgeous is he? Seriously the cutiest expressions I have gotten out of a little boy and he has the most beautiful blue eyes! What a lot of people don't realise is the amount of work the parents put into getting images like these...I don't work with an assistant so it is the parents who step in to entice out these expressions....I find that kids are more comfortable in a studio situation when they are surrounded by familiar faces. I think that is why I manage to get such priceless expressions because kids can't help but smile when Mum, Dad or a Friend are making a fool of themselves. So to all you Mum's and Dad's (and the loving friends) thanks for all the work you do....I could not do it without your commitment!
I wish I could take all the credit but I can't!

Max loves to chew and I got so many cute pics of him chomping down on my gorgeous new prop - an antique metal trunk! Not sure how it would taste though!
While I love studio portraits the advantages of my studio is that I can also do natural light portraits....I love the way a child's eyes sparkle outside and you can really tell the difference between studio and outdoors. One thing I pride myself on is giving my clients variety in their images whether it be through props, backdrops, outfits or location it makes what I do special and unique to you.

Corporate Shoot with Tom - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

When Tom came in with his wife Fiona for pregnancy photos he also had some corporate images taken for his blogs.....

Tom brought along a laptop with some images he liked the posing and backdrops of which is always a great idea when you have specific ideas in mind. Among those were a few of mine which had a more contemporary style corporate image rather than the traditional head & shoulders. I am all for mixing it up and thinking outside the box so it was awesome working with Tom on these images and being able to be creative with the lighting.
My favs have to be the ones on the black background as the lighting is so much more dramatic and I love a little drama!

Expectations Shoot with Fiona & Tom - Part 2 - Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Portrait Photographer

This is the second part of the Expectations Shoot I did with Fiona & Tom....I loved photographing them, it really makes my heart soar to meet first time parents and their obvious love for each other and their unborn child....such a precious time! We had sooo much fun laughing and they were really open to me trying some new ideas out on them and I was able to capture such beautiful images. Tom & Fiona had their beautiful little girl Isabelle Rose this week and I get to take her first professional photos.

Love Fiona's expression on the one above...sooo beautiful just makes me smile :)
Tom & Fiona had seen a previous shoot I did in a field at Bli Bli so while we we on our way to Cotton Tree we stopped at took these breathtaking photos....they were so relaxed around the camera and I think that really shows.
They had their wedding photos taken at Cotten Tree and this is the exact spot that Tom proposed to Fiona...seems so right to go back and take photos here.
I have to confess the sun was not setting, and this was not really a silouhette...the joys of photoshop...I had a picture in my head and really wanted to play with it and I really love the simplicity
