AUTUMN - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

Autumn is my favourite season. I love the changes that occur at this time of year; that with the cold comes a kaleidoscope of colours; as mother nature goes into hibernation for winter the landscape is transformed into a mythical-like world. Spring is beautiful as we watch new life begin but something has to be said for the majestic colours that represent Autumn: auburn, gold and crimson. So to celebrate the last days of my favourite season I went out to the Noosa Botanical Gardens to take some photos. I have never been to these gardens and I wanted to scout them for portrait work. Such a beautiful location and if anyone is interested in having photos done here it is the perfect location...
...I took Rena and my husband with me and we explored every pathway...the perfect sunday afternoon.

My new blue chair...I just bought this for photos and had to use it...and yes we dragged it out into the botanical gardens (don't you just love husbands).

Autumn Leaves

I took this of the trees above me as I walked around I just loved the colour

I don't normally take landscapes but these four trees in a row just called out to me - there is a white speck in the water in the bottom left corner - this is a pelican

Baby Koa Beginnings Shoot - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

I had photographed this little one in her mummy's tummy and finally I got to meet Baby Koa in person. She has the most hair I have ever seen on a newborn and even though I was promised a sleepy baby once I arrived she wanted nothing more than to be awake for the whole experience! She is a model in the making and barely complained while I photographed her. For a 2 week old baby she had an incredibally strong neck so she was quite happy to lie on her tummy and stare at me. Get use to Koa as I will be capturing her a lot in this first year of her life....

Baby Harrison's Beginnings Shoot - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

I had the honour of capturing Baby Harrison in his familes beautiful home. I have to say I have never been treated as well as I was by Annette (Harrison's Mum), she made me feel right at home and I have to say I was in awe of her stunningly decorated home. Harrison hated being naked so this shoot was a challenge but eventually he got use to me and I managed to capture some gorgeous images of him. Check out his cute big sister who chatted to me the whole time and even helped me reload my car, she was such an angel. Thanks Annette for your hospitality you are such a beautiful person!!!

Innocence Shoot with Chloe - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane Portrait Photographer

Chloe was a contestant in the "Cute Kid Contest" and though she didn't win I still think she is a cutie. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and even though she didn't like my camera much and was teething I managed to capture some gorgeous expressions...even with the tears.

The above image is a product I create called a "Fusion Print" where I combine several images from your shoot into one image. I loved these three expressions and I felt they told a story.

The tears...

Expectations Shoot with Jess Part 2 - Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Portrait Photographer

It has been so long since I blogged and I have to apologise for my slackness; I have had lots of photoshoots the past few weeks and I am trying to sell my house...life is hectic!

With all my Expectations Shoots I do an hour studio shoot and a two hour location shoot with the family so there are two parts to these shoots. Below is Jess in the studio (see the previous blog for her outdoor sessions) - she will have her baby any day now and I will get to capture her handsome baby boy.

One thing about my photoshoots is I always try to customise my shoots to suit the client, so I am always trying new poses and new editing techniques - this keeps my images fresh and contemporary and gives me a challenge. Hope you enjoy!
