My Husband the Guitarist & Singer

For those of you who don't know me well I wanted to introduce you to my best friend
- My Husband Dean -
He is an incredible person and even after 10 years of marriage I still can't believe he married me! Dean and Rena are my world and without them I would have no home because they make our house home to me. Dean supports all my dreams and is my constant encourager I wouldn't be who I am today without him.
Dean has an amasing voice and is part of the worship team at our church plus he taught himself guitar, I am very proud of the man that he is.

Weird fact about him: he is right-handed but plays guitar left-handed!

We took this photos before Christmas for presents and I loooove the first one...

Yes Rena is singing and I have to say at this stage she takes after mummy not daddy, sad!

Just a little fun with a digital background! The graffiti says "Urban Geek" Haha

Biggs Family @ Maleny

On Tuesday I went to Maleny to take family photos of the Biggs Family. We went to a few locations to take photos and had heaps of fun and even came across a hugs carpet snake that had just had a huge meal!!! This is a very musical family who brought along instruments, I love when people incorporate hobbies into the images....

Stringer Family @ Point Cartwright

Saturday afternoon found me at the beach again capturing the Stringer family. This was such an easy shoot with an amasing family. They wanted to show their UK relatives how beautiful the weather is here and I think the bright blue skies capture that perfectly.

Pritchard Family Shoot @ Point Cartwright

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of photographing the Pritchard family. Their little boy has the most beautiful blonde curls and even though it took him a while to warm up to me has such a bubbly personality. They wanted really informal portraits so there was lots of jumping and sand flying going on - the most fun I have had on a shoot! Thanks guys, you made my weekend!!!

Expectations Shoot with Sara

I love doing pregnancy shoots because I get to share in such a special time in a woman's life. Nothing compares to becoming a mother it is one of life's great miracles. During the rainy weather the past week I got to photograph on the beach at Point Cartwright with Sara - we managed to get no rain the whole time we were there! Yey! Another miracle! I just want thank Sara for braving the weather and letting me share this special time with you. Can't wait to meet her...xo

The last image was taken inside bubs room-to-be such a beautiful little place for her!

My Christmas Present to Myself - New Camera Gear!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!
The lead up to Christmas was crazy for me and I am finally getting a few days to myself. For Christmas I bought myself a new Camera - Canon EOS 1D plus two new lenses. I have previously used a Nikon D2X but decided to change to Canon for the lenses specifically the 85mm Prime Lens f1.2 - I feel in love with when I worked for a fellow photographer and friend Calli Bunett (Calli-B Photography). So I made the change. I spent a day shooting at f1.2 which creates the shallowest depth of field (the bit in focus) I have worked with and I have to say I am in love. Once my family (Rena & My Niece Teyha) got sick of me shoving it their face I attacked the garden. Below are the results....

My little Angel Rena...Could she be more beautiful? She is all that is good in me.

When shooting people I aim for crisp eyes and at f1.2 that is basically all the remains in focus. I just love the softness it creates in an image and that the focus is solely on those lovely eyes.
